How We Learn
Learning should be purposeful, joyful, and proven to work. Excel Academy uses the Children's Learning Institute (CLI) curriculum — a research-based program developed by educators and scientists at UTHealth Houston. Backed by decades of child development research, CLI combines insights from psychology, neurodevelopment, and education to create learning experiences that truly stick. Excel Academy has built its classrooms around this science-driven approach to ensure every child feels confident, engaged, and fully prepared for the next stage of learning.

When we first opened Excel, we realized the importance of offering children an early start in play-based early education and the remarkable impact it can have on their lifelong development.
At Excel Academy, our educators inspire children's curiosity, creativity and ingenuity. Through a combination of play and guided activities, our approach fosters a passion for lifelong learning and discovery.
Our learning guidance tools help customize each child's approach to learning and facilitate conversation between educators and families. Based on each child's individual learning journey, appropriate and attainable goals are set with children's teachers to help children achieve the next milestone.
The sensory experiences within our classrooms create an environment that prioritizes your child's safety and well-being. Our personal, welcoming atmosphere offers peace of mind as your child is embraced daily with hugs and laughter in our classrooms.
Excel Academy offers ways for our preschoolers to reach their highest potential through Dance, Art, Chess, Music, Gymnastics, Martial Arts and much more. Excel Academy partners with outside experts to bring another area of richness to our program.
